A Personal Journey Home

We have designed AT EASE from a culmination of life experiences — trips bareboating the Andaman Sea in Thailand where granite cliffs reached out of the ocean like skyscrapers; diving for pearls in Tahaa, French Polynesia; dining at surf shacks across Costa Rica; walking the cobblestones of San Juan, Puerto Rico; wooden boat rides to dinner in Lake Como, Italy; and weeks-long adventures on sea and land across the leeward island of the French West Indies. Our journey across the globe gifted us with a kaleidoscope of memories — and left us with a deep-felt longing to return to that one place that felt authentically home.

Our family has had a decade-long love affair with Harbour Island. Simply put, of all the places we have visited, there is no other place we wanted to return consistently. It has given so much to our family, we knew it was time to give that energy and experience to others.

After 20+ visits to the island, staying at every hotel and many rental homes, we realized what was missing. So many times, we spent the first day or two of the vacation unpacking, grocery shopping, running to the dock to see who had a boat for rent, driving to restaurants to see about reservations, picking up sunscreen for the kids, trading in the golf cart for something nicer or larger and figuring out how to get all of towels, toys, and “stuff” to the beach each day. When traveling with friends, we didn’t want to get 5 hotel rooms, we wanted a “home” experience. With the luxuries and privacy of a home came a lot of heavy lifting.

AT EASE Harbour Island has been painstakingly designed to let you experience the island in your own way. You can hide in this world-class retreat or venture out and explore the distinctive geography, history, culture and people that make the island unlike any place you have ever been. We invite you to leave the thinking to our team — because we believe true beauty is effortless. We invite you to slow down, re-charge and make your own vivid memories.
